Jerry Weiss, Oil Painter

Jerry is principally a portrait and figure artist who works from life. He is also a self-taught highly accomplished landscape painter. Jerry attended at the National Academy of Design, New York City; the Art Students League of New York; and, the Metropolitan Museum and Art Center, Miami, FL.

Jerry’s lush landscapes and sensual figure paintings pay homage to formal academy constructions without being bound by rules. His interpretations are new, fresh and intelligent.

He has had a large number of solo and group exhibitions, including a recent exhibit at the United States Embassy, Kigali, Rwanda. Jerry’s works are in private and corporate collections throughout North America, among them are: Pfizer, Inc., CT; The Harvard Club, New York City; the Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme, CT; and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston.

He is represented by the Cooley Gallery, Old Lyme, CT; Portraits, Inc., New York; Francesca Anderson Fine Art, Lexington, MA; and The Brigham Galleries, Nantucket, MA.
