Ken Dorros, Oil Painter

A resident of Glastonbury, CT, Ken trained in the classical academy tradition at the prestigious Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, CT, after leaving a successful career in law.

He is best known for his plein air paintings of rural and coastal areas throughout Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Nantucket and Colorado. His body of work also includes still life and figurative subject matter.

“I am particularly drawn to dramatic atmospherics and complexity found in the natural world. It allows for artistic expression of infinite combinations of space, color and texture.”

Ken’s paintings are exhibited in galleries throughout New England and are in private collections throughout the country. To see additional work by this artist visit www.kenspaintings.com.
